Girl Scouts - Sybaquay Council was chartered by Girl Scouts of the USA in 1957. Sybaquay offers the Girl Scout program to girls in more than 50 communities throughout McHenry County, and parts of Lake, Kane, Cook, DuPage, DeKalb, and LaSalle counties.

Sybaquay Council serves a total of 9,773 girls participating in 800 troops/groups and as Juliettes (individually registered girls). Membership figures for the membership year ending September 30, 2008, are as follows:

Sybaquay Council exists to offer Girl Scout program to every girl, ages 5 to 17, who lives within our jurisdiction. To this end, volunteers and staff work as partners in a collaborative effort. This collaboration includes delivering Girl Scout program, coordinating the volunteer structure, maintaining and improving council properties, and raising funds through donations to support program activities, property management, and the council's operations.
